About the event

Bystanders, a thriller and dark comedy is coming to McQueen's theatre, 21-23 July. Set in the heart of the Caribbean home, we meet a couple called K and M. K's intuition is telling her something is going on with her partner M. He's been distant, moody, and withdrawn. Things take a turn for the worst when M is diagnosed with depression and in K's desperation to keep her relationship going she finds herself trying to conceal the true extent of M's decline in mental health. This story explores love, loss, and generational trauma, through the lens of Caribbean spirituality.

The show is the Full-length version of BYSTANDERS, a thriller horror, first shown during the black writer's collective showcase at Southwark Playhouse.
